Do you come to me, or do I drop the car off somewhere?
We come to you. Every install is done at your home, your workplace, or wherever your car is parked — that's included in both packages.
Will I still be able to use my factory key fob?
Yes, for most vehicles. Remote start from your factory fob can be enabled during installation alongside the new Compustar remote.
Why is the BLADE-AL module always part of the install?
Modern cars won't let an engine start without recognizing the key. BLADE-AL lets the remote starter safely pass that check, so it's required for the system to work at all — not an optional extra.
Does this work on a manual transmission car?
Most of our installs are on automatic transmissions. Manual cars can sometimes be done too, but usually need extra safety hardware and labor — text us your year, make, and model and we'll confirm before booking.
What if I need to cancel or move my appointment?
Let us know as early as you can. The $50 booking deposit holds your slot and covers the technician's travel time, so it isn't refunded for cancellations or reschedules.
What's covered under the installation warranty?
The install itself is backed by a lifetime warranty. If something we installed stops working, we'll come back out and make it right.
I'm outside your listed suburbs — can you still come?
Often, yes. Travel is free within 25 miles of Chicago; beyond that we figure out a fair travel arrangement with you directly, the same as any mobile service call.
